- Per 28 grams of agar agar: 22.93 grams carbohydrate, 1.76 grams protein, 177.19 milligrams calcium, 318.84 milligrams potassium, 6.07 milligrams iron and 28.92 milligrams sodium
- Used as thickening agent for soup, ice cream, custard, pudding and sauce
- To dissolve, mix agar power with liquid, bring solution to boil and allow to simmer for 5 minutes; stir solution until all the agar dissolves
