LC Services Ltd is on the lookout for a Field Service Engineer. The role will involve repair, maintenance, calibration, and final test of scientific instruments at customers sites around the south of England and Home Counties.  This will largely involve the maintenance of GC/GCMS but also servicing of other analytical instrumentation including HPLC, MS and LC, as required. It will be primarily based on the road in the Northwest or southern regions associated with traveling to and from customers.

The successful candidate will receive a company car in order to travel to on-site laboratories. They will also receive initial training on the various instruments used, if required. Once confident, they shall be required to work on their own initiative, completing on-site maintenance contracts and service breakdowns. Candidates should provided a high level of customer service and use the skills they have acquired to workout faults and fix them efficiently.

Key skills requires:

  • Full and valid UK driving licence
  • Background in service engineering or laboratory equipment sector.
  • Qualification of electro/mechanical engineering or equivalent is highly recommended
  • High level of self-motivation
  • A willingness to travel to various location and meet customers on a day to day basis.

Position: Admin Assistant

Hours: 3 Days per week
9am – 5pm

A position has become available for an Admin Assistant for 3 days a week in a busy, friendly office located in Turvey, Bedfordshire.

Duties include answering the telephone, breakdown logging, data input and general administration duties. The successful candidate must be of smart appearance, have a polite telephone manner, able to multitask, prioritise workload, reliable and able to work well independently and within a team. Self-motivation and enthusiasm is a must. Computer and organisational skills are required and a basic knowledge in Microsoft Office would be beneficial. Full training provided. Additional admin staff holiday cover will also be necessary.
