Workshop & Optics Engineer

We require an in-house Workshop Engineer to work within our Optics department on the production of lamps and optical units for analytical Instrumentation at our purpose-built workshop in Turvey, Bedfordshire. Candidate does not need to have had any previous experience as full training will be provided.

The candidate will be required to carry out repair, rebuild and alignment work on a wide variety of analytical lamps and Optics assemblies. In addition, they need the ability to work as part of a team and liaise with other departments accordingly. They must be hands on, self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail. We would like the chosen candidate to start as soon as possible.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £12,000.00-£16,500.00 per year

Hand sanitizer available throughout the building, Lateral flow test in house for testing symptoms if required.

Workshop Engineer

The candidate will be required to carry out repairs and rebuilds on a wide variety of mechanical vacuum/rough pumps and electro-mechanical sub-assemblies. In addition they need the ability to work as part of a team and liaise with other departments accordingly.

They must be hands on and have mechanical engineering skills. It is essential that applicants are self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

No previous experience with mechanical vacuum/rough pumps and/or mechanical instrumentation is necessary as full training will be provided on the various products.

Trainee Stores Assistant

LC Services Ltd are looking to recruit a full time Stores Assistant to assist with the running of the stores department of our busy service company.

The role includes:

  • Taking responsibility for the goods in and out processes
  • Day to day stock control and stock movement monitoring (often computerised)
  • Stock Audits
  • Communications with courier companies
  • Overseeing returns process
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a tidy state Preparing dispatch notes for internal and external customers Compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Strong organisational and communication skills required

No prior experience needed, full training provided.
